Karen is the firm’s Deputy Head of Tax and a Partner in the Corporate Tax Group, with more than 18 years of experience. Her expertise includes setting up Philippine entities, regulatory registrations, and tax compliance, including audits and due diligence. She has been recognized by the International Tax Review as a Tax Controversy Leader in the Philippines from 2014 to 2018 and as an Indirect Tax Leader in the Philippines in 2017 and 2018.

Ellen is a seasoned tax professional with over 15 years of experience in tax and corporate services. She specializes in tax health checks, due diligence, compliance, and advisory services for both domestic and multinational clients. Her expertise includes identifying noncompliance risks under Philippine tax laws, developing strategies to optimize tax savings, and preparing tailored tax manuals to strengthen compliance. As the Country Service Line lead and member of KPMG’s global M&A network, Ellen has led numerous tax due diligence engagements and advised on tax implications of investment structures for enterprise expansion.

He serves as co-leader of KPMG Singapore’s BEPS Centre of Excellence and leads the US tax desk group for Singapore and Asia. Andy also co-leads KPMG’s BEPS Pillar 2 Global Think Tank. He advises sovereigns, pension funds, asset managers, and multinational corporations on BEPS Pillar 2 matters. His practice focuses on the asset management sector, working closely with private equity, real estate, and sovereign/pension funds on cross-border structuring, tax controversy, and policy issues.
