Femi Awotoye

Femi is the Head of Department of Professional Practice West Africa (DPPWA) and also a Partner in the Audit Division of the Lagos office of KPMG Professional Services. He has over 14 years audit experience with KPMG.

In his capacity, Femi has worked for several clients in the financial services industry, consumer markets and energy and natural resources sector.

He has also worked on the IFRS conversion for various key players in the financial markets, energy and natural resources, telecommunication and industrial markets sectors. He served as engagement partner and technical lead on the IFRS conversion engagements for 3 leading Nigerian banks and two consumer markets companies and is very much involved in and familiar with the deadlines and requirements of multinational group reporting both under IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements. His IFRS conversion projects involved resolution of complex IFRS accounting issues, embedding IFRS into financial reporting systems and process and reconciliation to Nigerian GAAP.
