Budget 2026 continues the momentum set forth by Budget 2025, driving Malaysia’s economic and sustainable resilience. Anchored in the MADANI Economy framework, it focuses on three pillars: driving reform and good governance, raising the ceiling of national growth, and improving the floor of living standards for the rakyat.
Set to be tabled on 10 October 2025, Budget 2026 also marks the first fiscal year of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) 2026–2030. While the 13MP charts Malaysia’s long-term ambition to be among the world’s top 12 most competitive economies, Budget 2026 sharpens the focus on high-growth sectors for SMEs, digital expansion, and inclusive, sustainable progress. It strikes a balance between continued support for the rakyat and long-term plans for a more resilient and competitive nation.
