Our Governance pillar focuses on setting purpose and the highest standards of ethical conduct and working against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Ethical conduct

The recently established Board provides the oversight role for KPMG in Malaysia’s Executive Committee (EXCO), which is responsible for the oversight of the firm’s business operations. A succession plan has been in effect, as part of KPMG’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in the effort towards becoming the leading professional services firm.

Our Purpose and Values play a significant role in guiding us, shaping our business as well as informing our actions every day. Thus, we are committed to the highest standards of personal and professional behavior. Our Code of Conduct sets out the responsibilities for all KPMG people to follow and it guides all our behaviors and actions. For more information regarding our commitment to quality, please refer to our Transparency Report 2022.

Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery

To ensure that we uphold the highest standards of professional integrity, we have established detailed policies applicable to all KPMG personnel, as well as training, compliance procedures and an international whistle-blowing hotline.
