The Public Revenue Office (the PRO) has announced that they are starting with the implementation of an e-invoicing system. The e-invoicing system will enable recording of all transactions for non-cash payments, through standardized electronic invoices, which, upon their issuance, will be directly reported.

According to the PRO, the main advantages of the e-invoicing system will be:

      • Elimination of paper documents and manual bookkeeping,
      • Reduced expenses for logistics, archiving and resources,
      • Automated booking via QR code, integration with the companies’ own accounting systems,
      • Greater control and security in business transactions.

According to the PRO, the expected plan for going live is the third quarter of 2026.
