Global Values Week 2026

As part of KPMG Global Values Week 2026, employees across the firm came together to celebrate these values through a series of engaging activities and interactive sessions designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, and collaboration.

The week officially commenced with insightful sessions by KPMG Sri Lanka’s Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Ranjani Joseph and Country Managing Partner,
Mr. Suren Rajakarier, who shared valuable perspectives on the importance of values, professionalism, discipline, and accountability in building a strong organizational culture. Their sessions reinforced how values influence not only the way we work, but also the way we lead, support one another, and grow both professionally and personally.

Day One: Tennis Ball Transfer Challenge

The first day of Values Week focused on teamwork, coordination, and communication through the Tennis Ball Transfer Challenge. Teams were tasked with transferring a tennis ball from one cup to another using only pens, without directly touching the ball.

The challenge required participants to work in sync, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly under pressure. It highlighted the importance of collaboration, trust, resilience, and collective problem-solving while demonstrating how shared effort leads to success.

Day Two: Pasta Bridge Challenge

The second day encouraged creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking through the Pasta Bridge Challenge. Using limited materials, teams designed and constructed bridge structures capable of holding the maximum amount of weight within a set timeframe.

The activity tested problem-solving skills, adaptability, and teamwork as participants refined their designs and worked together to overcome challenges. It also reinforced the value of collaboration and continuous improvement in achieving strong results.

Day Three: Blindfold Maze Challenge

The final day centred on trust, leadership, and communication through the Blindfold Maze Challenge. Blindfolded participants were guided through a maze using only verbal instructions from their teammates.

The challenge emphasized the importance of active listening, clear communication, and mutual trust. Teams quickly learned that success depended on patience, coordination, and supporting one another under pressure.

Strengthening Our Culture Together

Beyond the activities themselves, Values Week provided employees with an opportunity to connect across teams and departments, strengthen relationships, and step away from daily routines to celebrate the culture that unites us as one firm.

The enthusiasm, participation, and team spirit demonstrated throughout the week reflected the strong culture that continues to define KPMG. Through initiatives like Values Week, we continue to foster an environment where our people feel empowered, connected, and inspired to live our values every day.
