KPMG acted as exclusive sell-side transaction advisors to TRF Limited (Part of Tata Steel Group) on the sale of 100% stake in Dutch Lanka Trailer Manufacturers Ltd (DLT) to United Motors Lanka PLC. DLT is a BOI registered Company engaged in design, engineering, and manufacture of road and port trailers primarily catering to the export market. Dutch Lanka Trailers is the market leader for manufacturing road trailers in Sri Lanka and commands a market share of over 40% for Port Trailers in reachable markets exporting to 60+ countries globally.

The transaction acts as a strategic purchase for United Motors being one of the key players in the automobile sector in Sri Lanka and the sole distributor for globally renown vehicle brands such as Mitsubishi, Perodua, Fuso, JMC and local vehicle assembly operator for DFSK.
