      Mark has over 24 years’ experience in all aspects of civil litigation (including leading court hearings), customer due diligence and fraud investigation for both the legal and the financial sectors. Providing Know Your Customer & Anti Money Laundering analysis for large, international financial institutions dealing with high-net-worth entity types over multiple jurisdictions in the managed services sector and recently providing in depth reporting analysis for local Cayman based firms. He has three years of experience working with KPMG in the Cayman Islands and KPMG UK.

      1. Areas of expertise

        Mark’s current role includes acting in a professional capacity in multiple AML roles for KPMG regulated entities within the Islands Group in addition to providing AML analysis for both internal and external stakeholders and supports the business by providing training in both areas of Privacy and AML.

        Mark was a Team Manager for KPMG in the UK for a large AML engagement for a tier one Investment Bank. As a part of his role, he consistently drove productivity against client deliverables whilst providing a positive motivation through maintaining a detailed, high-level AML legal and regulatory knowledge and feeding this back through to the team to drive ongoing efficiencies.

        Has provided high level training and expertise both internally and externally including detailed reporting of case progression for an internationally recognized financial investment institution, specialized training regarding Politically exposed persons (“PEPs”) and more broader AML training for the local government.

        Investigative techniques on complex and high-risk entity structures providing detailed risk profiles of globally visible, high net worth clients.

        Detailed understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for Cayman, US, UK. Prepares in-depth, detailed risk profiles and reports for complex clients and provides periodic reviews for AML KYC regulatory requirements.

        Held the Privacy Liaison role for Cayman and BVI KPMG from 2019-2025 responsible for creating the privacy governance controls for the entities in addition to creation and maintenance of their privacy and retention policies.

        Extensive experience in engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business in order to obtain required resources to support accurate data gathering to resolve open issues.
