      Gautam is a Partner in the Asset Management Group for KPMG Cayman Islands. He has more than 18 years of audit and assurance services. His portfolio of clients includes digital asset, credit, private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.

      1. Areas of expertise

        Gautam joined KPMG in Canada in 2006 and subsequently transferred to the Cayman Islands in 2011. Since then, he has worked with various onshore and offshore clients including:

        • Virtual currency and digital asset funds
        • Commercial and residential whole loan securitization vehicles
        • Credit funds
        • Private Equity and Venture capital funds
        • Hedge funds

        Given this client base, he has close working knowledge of offering and other legal documents, and IFRS and US GAAP reporting frameworks.

        Gautam also co-leads the AEOI Practice in KPMG Cayman Islands, assisting clients in navigating through the challenges of complying with the complex requirements of AEOI. Gautam has experience on a wide range of AEOI engagements including reviewing policies and procedures manuals, developing remediation and due diligence checklists and assisting clients with the complexities of reporting in multiple jurisdictions.
