      KPMG LLP offers three scholarship opportunities to qualified Caymanian students who have attained strong academic achievement and wish to complete an undergraduate degree, locally or overseas. Students should possess an interest in pursuing a career in accounting in the Cayman Islands.

      All applications must be submitted online through our Graduates and Students webpage before March 31, 2026.

      KPMG Ignite Your Future Scholarship

      Local scholarship programs

      KPMG LLP will provide financial assistance, per standard tuition costs, to attend the University College of the Cayman Islands (“UCCI”) or the International College of the Cayman Islands (“ICCI”). Sponsorship will include student fees, books and supplies as requisite. All payments are made directly to the college at the beginning of each term..

      Overseas scholarship program 

      KPMG LLP will provide financial assistance of up to US$30,000 per year for the KPMG Annual Scholarship, in addition to an airfare stipend, for the maximum duration of five years. This is intended to be used towards standard tuition, textbooks, room and board as needed.

      The Michael Austin Scholarship

      Michael Austin, MBE founded the original Cayman Islands office of KPMG in 1966, known then as Peat Marwick Mitchell. His distinguished career, marked by vision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to public and community service, has helped shape the financial and professional landscape of the Cayman Islands for over 50 years. 

      The Michael Austin Scholarship is a further example of his commitment to advancing the accounting profession and nurturing the development of the Caymanian youth. Established in recognition of the transformative power of education and the vital role young professionals play in shaping the future of the Cayman Islands, Mr. Austin seeks to support high-achieving Caymanian students who aspire to pursue careers in accountancy and related fields, enabling them to focus fully on their academic and personal development.

      The Michael Austin Scholarship will be awarded to a Caymanian student who demonstrates exceptional academic performance, meaningful service to their school or community, a strong work ethic and proven leadership potential.

      The Michael Austin Scholarship offers up to US$50,000 per year to be used towards standard tuition, textbooks, airfare, room and board, for a maximum duration of five years.

      The Novelette A. Ebanks Inspirational Scholarship

      The Novelette A. Ebanks Inspirational Scholarship is awarded to a Caymanian student who displays strong academic achievements, a commitment to serving others in the community or at school, robust work ethic and leadership qualities. The scholarship was created in loving memory of KPMG Partner and inspirational mentor to local students, Novelette A. Ebanks.

      Applicants should possess an interest in an undergraduate degree, locally or overseas, with intentions of a career in accounting, finance, actuarial science or accounting information systems in the Cayman Islands. We will provide financial assistance of up to US$50,000 per year, for a maximum of five years, to be used towards standard tuition, student fees, books, supplies and accommodation as required.

      KPMG was proud to award the third Novelette A. Ebanks Inspirational Scholarship to Dashante McLaughlin-Richards in 2022. Dashante is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the Florida International University.

      Dashante was awarded this scholarship based on her dedication to academic success, personal motivation, and connection to giving back to her community.

      During the summers, Dashante worked within our Asset Management, Accounting Advisory Services as well as our Tax and Legal teams at KPMG gaining further experience based on her career aspirations.

      Selection process

      • Applications for scholarships are considered on an annual basis.
      • Applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Scholarship Committee at KPMG or the Board of Directors of the Michael Austin Scholarship or Directors of the Novelette A. Ebanks Inspirational Scholarship.
