Naoki Toyoda worked at a system integrator (SI) of a major electronics group for 10 years and then at a foreign general consulting firm for another 10 years, before joining KPMG Consulting. Leveraging his skills in SI and IT consulting, he is an expert at formulating comprehensive IT strategies in such wide-ranging areas as infrastructure, information security, core systems, help desks, various kinds of operational and IT personnel design, and outsourcing. He has a track record of supporting numerous IT projects not limited to specific industries, from upstream to downstream, including procurement of various measures, vendor management, and accompanied support. In recent years, he has strived to promote the practical use of digital technology at Japanese companies, which are said to lag behind those of other developed countries in terms of digitization. He advocates the importance of formulating comprehensive IT strategies and roadmaps including cross-sectoral IT measures at companies.
