Sumit is an accomplished visionary leader, serving as a Partner at KPMG in India. In his current role as Chief of Staff to the CEO he is responsible to execute significant strategic, operational, and cultural agendas calling for considerable changes. He is also responsible for helping CEO and leadership team drive the executive committee agenda.
With his astute organisational intelligence gained through a career spanning over one and half decades, Sumit continues to play variety of roles at the firm in addition to his current role. In his business unit role, he leads strategic projects on enterprise risk management, internal audit, process re-engineering and transformation. As Head of ‘Our Impact Plan’, our ESG strategy and reporting initiative, he is invested in bringing together the ESG efforts at the firm across four pillars – governance, people, planet and prosperity and is an advocate of diversity and inclusivity at the firm.
Sumit also continues to drive important client agenda including leading several key accounts for the firm in India as well as in EMA region.
Over the years, Sumit has garnered expertise in diverse areas, including strategy and transformation, enterprise risk management, business development and governance and regulatory matters and his focus continues to be on the telecommunications, technology and fintech sectors.
Sumit continues to be actively involved with AIMA Young Leaders Council, India Mobile Congress and in past Sumit has been associated with multiple industry body events at CII and IAMAI and has extended valuable insights in these events as a panelist and moderator.
He has been a top coaching and mentorship voice on LinkedIn and seeks active opportunities to mentor young leaders and talent within and outside the firm.
