Associate professor at ELTE Eötvös Loránd University
Tamás Szabados is an associate professor at ELTE Eötvös Loránd University. He obtained an LL.M. degree at the University College London. He completed research stays at renowned universities and research institutions, such as the University of Cambridge, Oxford and Heidelberg, the Harvard University and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. His main areas of interest include private international law and EU economic law. He is the author of the book ‘Economic Sanctions in EU Private International Law’ that was published in 2019 by Hart.
Professor of law at and the head of the Department of Private International Law at the University of Szeged
Csongor István Nagy is professor of law at and the head of the Department of Private International Law at the University of Szeged and research chair at the ELKH Center for Social Sciences in Budapest. He is recurrent visiting professor at the Central European University (Vienna) and the Sapientia University of Transylvania (Romania) and associate member at the Center for Private International Law at the University of Aberdeen. He is admitted to the Budapest Bar and listed at various arbitral institutions. He has more than 230 publications in English, French, German, Hungarian, Romanian and (in translation) in Croatian and Spanish.

Bálint is the head of legal services at KPMG Hungary since 2016. He is qualified in Hungary as an Attorney-at-Law since 2009, he equally holds a degree in economics and management and also obtained a business law LLM degree at the University of Vienna. His main focus areas are M&A, dispute resolution, privacy and regulatory. Bálint has overseen a great number of M&A and restructuring transactions and directed big ticket compliance and regulatory projects. He is regularly advising clients on full-scale GDPR preparation and compliance projects. He has strong exposure to Legal Tech and AI regulatory issues as well.
Managing Associate, Attorney-at-law - KPMG Legal Tóásó Law Firm
Manuela joined KPMG Legal Tóásó Law Firm as an attorney-at-law in 2017. Her practice focuses on corporate, commercial law and commercial arbitration. She is a visiting lecturer at ELTE University, Faculty of Law at the Department of International Private Law and European Economic Law. She has a PhD in law, her doctoral thesis focused on combination of arbitration with mediation in resolving commercial disputes. She was a visiting researcher at Cardozo School of Law (New York), Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution. She has also obtained an LL.M. degree in US and Global Business Law for International Business Lawyers from Suffolk University (Boston).
Senior Associate, KPMG Legal Tóásó Law Firm
János joined KPMG Legal Tóásó Law Firm’s team in 2017. He took part in the Hungarian National Bank’s and the University of Pécs’s Geopolitical Doctorate Program between 2017 and 2019. His thesis focused on the geopolitical risks of cryptocurrencies. He gained corporate, tax and sanctions-related legal experience in the Middle East between 2019 and 2021, before re-joining KPMG Legal Tóásó Law Firm’s team in 2021, where he is currently the head of the sanction legal team. He has been a member of the Pest County Legal Chambers since 2022.
