      Maja joined KPMG in Croatia in 1999 where she is now the partner responsible for taxation services. 

      Maja focuses on Indirect Taxation (Value Added Tax, customs and excise) and Corporate Profit Tax issues and specialises in advising foreign investors on cross-border tax structuring as well as in local taxation aspects. 

      To broaden the depth of Maja’s Indirect Taxation expertise, Maja was seconded to KPMG in Ireland, during which she focused on international indirect tax issues in international transactions and developments in VAT legislation in European Union member states.

      Maja has held various tax workshops and seminars and has published professional articles on Croatian and the EU tax matters. 

      Since joining KPMG, Maja has participated and managed tax aspects of the projects involving privatizations, corporate mergers and acquisitions and related tax due diligence and tax restructuring support.

Maja has gained significant taxation advisory experience in assisting foreign investors through all stages of their investment in Croatia, from structuring the investment, maintenance of ongoing operations, exit strategies, etc.

      Maja is the sector Head for Technology, Media and Communications for the KPMG Adria Cluster that includes KPMG in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
