New fees and requirements effective from 1 January 2025
2025 governmental fees
The Danish immigration authorities have recently announced updated governmental fee rates effective from 1 January 2025.
This means that when applying for an initial or extended residence and/or work permit, a governmental fee must be paid to the Danish immigration authorities.

Updated minimum salary requirements
Updated minimum salary requirements when applying for residence and work permits with effect from 1 January 2025.
The minimum salary requirements apply to applications submitted under the regular Pay Limit/Supplementary Pay Limit scheme and the relevant tracks within the Fast-track scheme.
The minimum salary applies to applications submitted from 1 January 2025.

If the applicant remains employed in the same position and under the same work conditions/terms when applying for an extension, the application will be processed according to the threshold that was in effect when the original residence permit was granted.
Updated Positive Lists
The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) published the new Positive Lists for higher education and skilled work.

Based on ongoing labour market monitoring, the Positive Lists are updated twice a year, on 1 January and 1 July.
The job titles in the Positive Lists can be delisted no sooner than two years after the time they were added to the list.
