New changes expected to come into effect in 2023.
The Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration has announced that, in some situations, non-EU nationals can work in Denmark without a work permit.
According to the proposed amendments, non-EU nationals can be covered by the exemption in two separate periods of no more than 15 working days per 180-day period in Denmark.
What are the requirements?
In order to be covered by the 15-day exemption, the employee must be an employee of a company abroad which is affiliated with a company in Denmark that has at least 50 employees. And the work in Denmark must be done for this company – intercompany.
Please note that a work permit is required for any work period in Denmark planned to exceed 15 days.
As for nationals requiring a visa, the Ministry of Immigration and Integration has stated that guidance in this regard will be announced on the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration’s webpage.
