The event has been held

On October 11th from 16:30 and 19:30, Leaders 2050 has teamed up with Rotary (Rotaract) to host a conference at UN City (Marmorvej 51, 2100 Copenhagen) around the interconnections between climate and public health.

Leaders 2050 is an international, cross-firm professional network led by KPMG for future leaders in all sectors who have an interest in net zero, clean growth and sustainability. The network is ideal for future leaders who want to create a more sustainable world while building a strong interdisciplinary professional network that will help them achieve their goals.

Rotaract is a part of Rotary International, targeted towards young professionals with a desire to make an impact on the world they live in. In Rotaract you exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. Across the world, there are 203.000 Rotaractors in 180 countries.

Thanks to the WHO (World Health Organization), we are happy to be able to make the event free of charge for you. Sign-up is however mandatory, as UN City is extraterritorial and you will need to be registered ahead of time and go through security to get in.

There is room for around 200 people, so be sure to secure your seat early on, as seating is limited.

Due to these security arrangements and seating limitations, if you later find that you cannot attend, please be considerate to others by ensuring to cancel you attendance well ahead of time, so that others have the opportunity to attend in your place.

At the conference, which will be held in English, we will hear from the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Invest in Denmark - Cleantech under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

Key speakers from these organizations (please see the list below) will be talking about the increasing connection between climate and public health as the impacts of climate change are increasingly felt across the globe.

Following the event there will be time for socializing, drinks and snacks until 19.30.
