What do we work with in Transaction Services?
As part of the Transaction Services team, you will look at transactions through the eye of the investor. By doing so, we offer clients a clear advice on navigating the risks and uncovering the opportunities that lie within potential future deals. We are a fully integrated team of specialists with deep industry knowledge. As part of our team, you have the chance to support clients on the entire mergers and acquisitions process, whether they are on the buy-side or sell-side of the transaction.
In Transaction Services, we work within five areas of expertise. You can read more about each area below.
Financial Due Diligence
When working in the Financial Due Diligence team, you will conduct a thorough financial analysis of organisations to help corporates and private equity funds assess the opportunities and risks related to a potential deal. Tasks within the Financial Due Diligence team vary from negotiations with key stakeholders (often C-suite or senior M&A professionals), hosting Q&A sessions and writing reports with our analysis and assessment.
Tech Due Diligence
The Tech Due Diligence team works very closely with other service lines in KPMG to ensure we understand the full picture of the target's technologies. Together, we assess the current state of, and risks related to the technologies of an organisation involved in a transaction. It is a key part of the due diligence process as technology is an important value-driver for all businesses. At KPMG, we understood the need for Tech Due Diligence at an early stage, and we are the front-runners within this field in Denmark.
Deal Analytics
The Deal Analytics team combines financial knowledge with IT and data knowledge. We support the other Deal Advisory areas in their day-to-day deliveries by providing innovative solutions to work with and analyse the data provided by the clients. We are here to ensure that the other teams can work more efficient and smarter.
Integration & Separation
Undertaking merger and acquisition (M&A) activities, whilst trying to create value, has become more complex. Within the Integration & Separation team, we grasp the significance of integration and separation in achieving and optimising deal value, blending strategic expertise, conceptual know-how and practical experience. Our team is cross-functional and carries experience from multiple sectors, deal types and ownership structures. As part of the KPMG network, we have the ability to draw on subject matter experts in any country, enabling us to handle domestic or cross-border specific integration and separation challenges.
ESG Due Diligence
The ESG Due Diligence team conducts a comprehensive assessment of ESG risks and value creation opportunities in an M&A transaction. ESG aspects are increasingly becoming a core part of investor’s due diligence process as they seek to understand both the current status of the target’s ESG practices, and to identify & mitigate potential down-side risks and upside opportunities. In addition, a transaction can be the starting point for the implementation of ESG value creation initiatives to improve profitability and valuation. We are a cross-functional team that is anchored in the Transaction Services team but collaborates across service lines and KPMG member firms.
Innovation is the key concept in Deal Analytics. Our work is to challenge status quo and to think differently with the tools we have available today - both for our clients and for our colleagues.
