What do we work with in NextGen Operations?

The NextGen Operations Advisory team is an agile team that combines expert advisory services with automation solutions. We are a large team of professionals, both just coming out of university as well as colleagues with many years of experience. We are driven by integrity and embrace challenges to optimise our clients' operational processes.

Within NextGen Operations Advisory, we utilise the power of automation technologies to streamline workflows and drive operational efficiency. We also enable insights-driven decision-making for our clients by incorporating artificial intelligence. Moreover, our colleagues optimise procurement and sourcing services, helping our clients to achieve cost savings, supplier management optimisation and improved sourcing strategies.

We have four areas of expertise within NextGen Operations Advisory: Procurement Advisory, Enterprise Service Management, NewTech and Enterprise Resource Planning and Project Management. You can read more about each area by scrolling down the page.

Procurement Advisory

Procurement Advisory includes both procurement transformation and IT sourcing services. The Procurement Transformation team optimises our clients' businesses through technology by implementing source-to-pay platforms such as Coupa and iValua. You will be part of end-to-end projects, working on business process design, technology and integrations, and supplier and content enablement. Moreover, we also work with strategic sourcing, contract life cycle management, supplier risk and performance management, category optimisation, and much more. We are a very diverse and international team, and we all have a passion for procurement and digital transformations.

IT sourcing is focused on the great variety of services guiding clients through the full lifecycle of IT contracts and the acquisition of IT services through tender processes. We assist our clients with anything from shaping sourcing strategies to tender support, transition assistance, contract management and termination services

Improving processes, managing supplier risks, or even enabling procurement technologies, we have a great variety of missions within the Procurement Transformation team.

Enterprise Service Management

The Enterprise Service Management team empowers our clients to redefine and optimise their processes. From technical implementations to process enhancements, the projects revolve around working smarter on a unified platform, primarily ServiceNow.

In a market with limited Enterprise Service Management and ServiceNow experts, we nurture talent within KPMG. As a graduate in Enterprise Service Management, you will go on an educational journey by, for instance, taking Prince2 and ITIL courses or core consulting skills training. Our colleagues also specialise in ServiceNow and become certified implementation specialists. Our more experienced colleagues receive regular brush-up courses to stay on top of the trends in ServiceNow.

NewTech

In NewTech, we enlighten, guide and implement new ways of working by using data and artificial intelligence technologies to create a better world. We challenge the daily life of companies through innovative offerings and have a data and technology-based approach to help our clients take better decisions, automate processes and stay competitive.

Our projects run end-to-end with our clients on board. This means that you get the chance to work with a broad set of activities, from pain point identifications to data analytics and business cases. And from project management to solution design and technical implementation.

Working in NewTech comes with front row tickets to the generative AI revolution that we are experiencing right now. GenAI is like we all got our own magic wand. We just need to have a good imagination and find the right spell (prompt & data). Then almost everything is possible.

Enterprise Resource Planning and Project Management

The Enterprise Resource Planning and Project Management team consists of more experienced project managers and technology advisors. We help our clients with the approach and implementation of larger digital transformation projects, for instance ERP systems, business intelligence & analytics or other technologies. The team acts as a core part of the client's team and works closely together with their system integrator and manage the implementation of the new system. This means that, sometimes, we are alone at the client. But not to worry, we always make sure we regularly meet in the office and have each other as sparring partners.

Organisation & Adoption

The focus point of the Organisation and Adoption team is on change management, organisational strategy and how to best utilise HR technology. Some of us work on the implementation of ERP systems for large organisations where we ensure that employees are on board, understand why the change is taking place and have received proper training to navigate through it. Others work on a cultural review for a company that just went through a merger and might experience challenges with integration. In the background, we focus on operational tasks such as HR health checks, HRIS selections or key performance indicators for our clients.

What is great about working in Organisation and Adoption is that we find ourselves in meetings with senior leadership to present their new organisational strategy but also putting on safety shoes to meet factory workers and identify their views on challenges and potentials. It is insightful to work with employees on multiple levels and uncover challenges our clients face. In Organisation and Adoption, we are always ready to roll-up our sleeves and prepare an all-day workshop to help a company’s employees with understanding new systems or set up a communication strategy for a project rollout. We are not only about PowerPoints – our presence and understanding of the client is at the heart of what we do and what makes our job so meaningful. Not only do we work hard on projects, but we also make sure to crack a joke in between meetings or stretch our legs for coffee walks, hoping we find a snack somewhere in the office.
