You can apply to our Audit Trainee Programme if you have completed higher education.

You will get to work in one of the biggest accounting firms in the world, where you will be able to start your career in an inspiring and dynamic working environment.

You will have permanent and full-time employment from day one, where you will engage in our internal training education together with the other Audit Trainees. By working together with other Trainees, you will develop friendships and engage in strong collaborations across KPMG, where you will help and interact with each other to grow and develop.

Why should you join the Audit Trainee Programme?

As an Audit Trainee at KPMG, you will receive audit technical training and personal development training. At the same time, you will be enrolled in an HD programme to learn the fundamentals. In addition to learning classic audit techniques, where you will apply your knowledge from your studies to the job, you will also work with new technologies as we focus on digitalising the audit process at KPMG.

You will work on interesting client-facing engagements to get the best personal and professional development. As an Audit Trainee, you will have the chance to work with those cool technologies.

We believe in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and using disruptive data and analytics tools to make audit more modern and relevant for today’s society.

At KPMG, you will work with high-performing teams that will help you to develop and grow with hands-on experience with big and international clients and relevant projects. You will work in a global network and receive the newest knowledge within your field of interest to discover your full potential. Additionally, you will have access to cool benefits, mentoring programmes, and training initiatives to achieve your personal career goals.

Audit Trainee at KPMG

As an Audit Trainee, you will be assigned a mentor. He or she will be there to answer all your questions. On top of that, you also have a performance manager to help guide you and set you on the right course of your career. He or she will help you set and achieve your goals. Most importantly, you are always a part of a team at KPMG. Together, we will make sure you have the best education, experience, and development possible.

The application process for the Trainee Programme

The typical process to become an Audit Trainee - what you need to upload:

  1. CV
  2. Cover Letter
  3. Diploma and grade transcript
  4. Feel free to include additional documents, if you find them relevant (not required)

We will review the applications on an on-going basis. You will receive a call when you are invited for an interview.

The first interview is mostly to get to know you better and to see if there is a match.

For the second interview, you have to prepare a logic and personality test. Some departments will also ask you to prepare a case at home or during the interview.

You will always receive a phone call from the interviewer, whether it is good or bad news.

In both cases, we will make sure that we provide you with relevant feedback.

When you have finalized the process, you will receive a call where we potentially offer you a contract.

The Audit Trainee programme starts once a year, after the summer vacation. It starts with a one-week trip to get an introduction to KPMG and the relevant skills you need to start your audit career.

The trip also contains a lot of fun team events and dinners to make sure you have networking throughout KPMG from day 1.

You can apply to our Trainee programme and see the available Trainee position if you scroll down the page, or you can click on the button "Graduates and Trainee positions" at the top of this page. A Trainee programme is a full-time and permanent position, which also reflects your salary.
