About the event
AI holds significant potential for the public sector – from more efficient case processing and enhanced decision support to new, data-driven ways of delivering services to citizens and businesses. This potential is being challenged by a new geopolitical reality – one that is evolving rapidly and often unpredictably. With a growing focus on digital sovereignty, issues of data control, technological dependence, and security are coming to the forefront.
This places the public sector in a complex balancing act between the need to quickly and responsibly realize the value of AI and the need to maintain control over data and critical public systems.
At this event, we will focus on exactly this balance. Through three presentations and a concluding panel discussion, we will delve into strategic perspectives on data sovereignty and concrete practical experiences with the secure use of AI. The event will provide insights into how public organizations work with AI – especially concerning the choice of technological solutions, governance models, and risk management – in a complex world marked by increasing uncertainty.
We’re inviting four key voices to the stage to share their perspectives on direction, implementation, and the necessary trade-offs involved when public organizations are facing the challenge of balancing the potential of AI with digital sovereignty.
