James is a Director in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP), providing technical accounting support to the firm’s audit teams and advisory clients, across a broad range of accounting topics and industries. He brings extensive experience in multiple complex accounting areas, including financial instrument accounting, revenue recognition and share-based payment accounting.
James is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and holds a degree in Economics from Durham University, United Kingdom. Before joining KPMG Denmark in early 2023, James held a similar technical accounting role in KPMG’s UK member firm. Prior to that, he worked on the audits of several major listed banks in both London and Singapore as a member of KPMG UK’s banking audit practice.
Having worked in Denmark, the UK, Singapore, and Canada, and having previously lived in the US and Hong Kong, James is highly experienced in collaborating across cultures and with international teams. He also maintains close connections with colleagues across the Nordic network through his role within the Nordic Department of Professional Practice.
