Eric Bots-Bjerre is a partner in KPMG Denmark’s Corporate Finance team, specializing in valuation, financial modelling, and broad corporate finance advisory, including M&A, with a particular focus on the energy sector.
With a career in corporate finance dating back to 1999, Eric initially specialized in M&A at a large European investment bank, working on transactions exceeding EUR 100 million. Since joining KPMG in 2016, Eric has further specialized in technical valuations, financial modelling and model reviews, and energy corporate finance. He also provides independent valuations, valuation reviews, and fairness opinions to support executive and supervisory boards and shareholders.
In financial modelling, Eric works with financial investors and large corporates to develop business plans, strategic value analysis models, and investment models for both equity and debt investments. Additionally, he has built portfolio fund models to analyze investment strategies' effects on risk and return metrics. His extensive experience in model development is complemented by his leadership in third-party model reviews, applying a proven methodology to document findings and provide assurance to financing providers or potential buyers in a sale process.
Within the energy sector, Eric has provided comprehensive corporate finance advisory services, including M&A, debt advisory, financial modelling, and model reviews. He has worked with both financial and corporate investors across various energy segments.
Eric’s working style is characterized by his strong collaboration with KPMG’s corporate finance practices and industry specialists. He is actively connected within several industry groups and works closely with experts in tax, accounting, and IT to ensure a well-rounded approach to advising clients.
