      In FY21, KPMG in Denmark reached a total revenue growth of 10% across Audit, Advisory and Tax. Overall, revenue increased from DKK 1,010 million in 2019/20 to DKK 1,112 million in 2020/21. KPMG experienced organic growth across all business areas with Audit accounting for 10%, Advisory 5% and Tax 18%.

      2021 was marked by a shift halfway through the year, both in terms of the pandemic and the appointment of new Senior Partner and CEO, Morten Mønster. In the second half KPMG has picked up activity level at an even faster pace than expected and is still among the professional services companies in Denmark with the highest growth rates.

      Diversity and inclusion are part of our DNA

      KPMG continues to strengthen its commitment to diversity and are therefore pledging a goal of 40% women represented at the Board of Directors by the end of FY26. For other management levels (Senior Managers, Directors and Partners), KPMG aims to have at least 35% women by the end of FY30. KPMG has also increased focus on addressing and avoiding bias in recruitment through internal workshops and more inclusive job advertisements. 1,414 of the 3,754 job applications KPMG received in FY21 came from women. Overall, 37 % of employees are female and KPMG continues to focus on gender equality and inclusion so that all employees feel welcome and respected.

      ESG is the watermark in everything we do

      As the world gets more and more focused on green transition and sustainable growth, KPMG has decided to further develop it’s ESG & Sustainability team, which will be led by Partner, Michael Birkebæk Jensen. The team will have a cutting-edge and innovative understanding of the role that data, automation and new technologies play in the green transition. 

      KPMG have already used this approach on various ESG engagements. One example is the involvement in the North Sea Wind Power Hub, a cross-European project that aims to build up a grid of energy islands, like the ones Denmark is planning to build in the North Sea. Another example is for a media house, where KPMG have applied artificial intelligence to estimate the optimum number of publications to be distributed to various outlets thereby reducing waste by more than 30%, and consequently reducing CO2 emissions significantly.
