The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) obliges companies to report their sustainability data in the areas of environment, social affairs and governance. This ESG reporting is complex and multi-layered.
The CSRD extends the obligation to disclose non-financial information to more companies than were previously affected by the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD). The directive also requires a higher level of detail in the information to be reported. Companies have to deal with new and complex guidelines.
