Johann Schnabel

Since joining KPMG in 1997, I have been supporting companies with complex challenges relating to financial and non-financial reporting. After six years in the Attestation department, I moved to the Advisory division and am now responsible for the Accounting Advisory Services and Regulatory Advisory departments.

I support clients across all industries with the introduction of international reporting standards and have assisted numerous capital market companies with IPOs on national and international stock exchanges. I also have extensive experience in managing large carve-out and integration projects and am used to leading multidisciplinary teams in a targeted manner.

A particular focus of my work is the introduction of tools and processes to increase quality and efficiency in finance and accounting. As a specialist expert in international accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and non-financial reporting standards (EU taxonomy, ESRS, ISSB), I support my clients with in-depth knowledge and practical advice.

What sets me apart is my hands-on mentality: together with my team, I develop solutions that are not only strategically well thought-out, but also operationally feasible - always with the aim of creating real added value for our clients.
