Tereza Scott has been named Educator of the Year at the Women in Governance, Risk and Compliance Awards 2026 in recognition of her contributions to education and mentoring in governance, risk management and compliance. She leads the KPMG Business Institute training centre, where she established the KPMG Compliance Management Programme, the first comprehensive training programme of its kind for compliance professionals in the Czech Republic. Tereza also developed a methodology for assessing the maturity of compliance management systems.
The award is presented by Women in Governance, Risk and Compliance (WGRC), a global initiative dedicated to supporting and connecting women working in governance, risk management and compliance. This year’s awards attracted more than 400 nominations from around the world across 26 categories. The winners were chosen by a panel of 18 leading experts in the field. Tereza is the first recipient from the Czech Republic to receive the award.
“I am truly honoured to receive this award. It represents international recognition of the quality of the training programme that my colleagues and I have developed. Most of our instructors are KPMG professionals, and we place strong emphasis on practical learning, drawing on real-life experience from dozens of projects. Our approach goes beyond knowledge of legislation, also focusing on market standards across a wide range of industries,” says Tereza.
