As part of their flagship program the ‘Hussain Kasim Internship Program’, KPMG in Bahrain continues its commitment to support the professional development of young Bahraini talent by nurturing the most recent batch of interns from leading local and international universities. With 21 young professionals onboarded as a part of our first cohort of the program in 2023, we aim to develop, mentor, and potentially progress them towards a full-time role depending on the business’ needs.
The Hussain Kasim Internship Program was established to provide learning opportunities for Bahraini students and help them gain work experience, while working as a part of our professional teams in our audit, advisory and tax functions. The program has been named in honor of Mr. Hussain Kasim, the co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain, who prior to founding the firm in partnership with Jassim Fakhro, was a highly respected teachers within the community, and has always been passionate about supporting young professionals through the opportunities we create to facilitate lifelong learning. As with previous years the program will aim to select and accommodate 50 - 80 young professionals who are pursuing their university qualifications. The aim of the program is to help develop young Bahrainis with their initial work experience and provide them with a solid foundation and launchpad for successful careers in the future.
