At KPMG Australia we develop, procure, use and sell a range of AI tools. These tools help us to manage our business with greater effectiveness and efficiency and enhance our services and products.
In all we do, we are guided by our KPMG Trusted AI Framework and AI Policy (PDF 681KB). We continually review and update our approach to align with current best practices and regulatory standards. KPMG Australia has been certified as complying with ISO 42001:2023 (AI Management System). The scope of KPMG’s ISO42001 certification is for its production and provision of AI solutions for internal use and service delivery.

Overview
The KPMG Asset Operations Core platform is a flexible, client-facing platform which aggregates data, information, analytics, and AI approaches to drive improved Asset Management decision-making. The currently included GenAI capability is the automated categorisation of asset data based upon ingestion of client data, this is currently live with clients to analyse the failure-types and resolutions for assets which fail and are subject to a work order. Ongoing development to include OCR of asset labels and extended GenAI to allow the user to ask questions on asset data is being undertaken.

Relativity Contracts uses generative AI to identify, extract and compare key contract clauses across large volumes of documents and other unstructured data repositories. It uses generative AI (as well as machine learning and regex capabilities) to identify key clauses, information, text, values or datapoints within source documents and extracts them to stored fields to either generate a structured data set or provide actionable intelligence from the source documents. Contracts uses the same broad approach as aiR for Review in providing a confidence score, explanation as to why the clause or text was matched, and citations to the source document that are hyperlinked to the text location in the original document.
