In 2014, David joined KPMG as a Partner and since then, has advised many of Australia’s largest listed national and multinational public companies in all facets of employment-related advisory services.

Fuel and people can be the biggest cost to an organisation and in addition, GST and other transactional taxes will arise regardless of profitability. David’s focus is to bring innovative solutions to organisations looking to optimise such costs, increase efficiency in their processes, whilst reducing risk and maintaining total compliance.

David leads KPMG ASPAC's Employment Tax Advisory practice which specialises in providing high value-added solutions, innovative and transformative tax solutions to corporate clients.

As KPMG’s National Indirect Tax Services Leader, David leads a team of indirect tax professionals who combine technical knowledge with industry understanding. By using advanced analytics and cutting-edge technology solutions, David’s team helps to capture savings, optimise efficiency, obtain valuable insights and reduce risk for the business. Part of a global network, our Trade & Customs team assists clients identify cost-savings opportunities and manage trade compliance risks associated with supply chains and global trade operations. Our Canberra-based Regulatory Strategy Advisory team advises clients who engage with government on excise/indirect tax, environmental, energy and other regulatory matters.

David also leads KPMG Payroll Connect, His team of industry-leading employment tax and payroll advisory specialists work with organisations to enhance performance while minimising risk through an integrated payroll digital solution. David is a key driver of KPMG ThinkPay, a multi-disciplinary team combining specialist capability across risk, workplace relations, tax, employment law and data analytics to offer a holistic approach to support you navigate the complexities of your payroll environment.

As Head of KPMG's Fuel Tax Credit (FTC) group, David manages a team of specialists who combine their knowledge and expertise with market-leading GPS technology, advanced data science and automation to provide robust FTC claims and valuable insights on fleet performance and operations for broader business value.

As the National Head of KPMG’s Global Compliance Management Services, David manages a team that supports multinational companies in the management of their global tax and wider statutory compliance obligations. Through a centrally coordinated managed service they bring together a network of local expertise, technology, innovative operating models and established compliance services framework.

David serves on numerous advisory committees and panels of industry. He serves on both the Australian Taxation Office's (ATO) Fuel Schemes Stakeholder Group and National Tax Liaison Group FBT Subcommittee, the Victorian State Revenue’s State Taxes Consultative Council as well as CPA Australia’s National Indirect Taxes Committee and the Taxation Institute of Australia’s State Taxes Committee.

David actively develops industry-leading thought leadership, is a published author and contributes to a range of industry publications and business forums on a national scale. He is passionate about life experiences, communities, connections and learning, and carries a strong belief in authenticity, diversity and an engaged workforce.
