      Adam is a Partner within KPMG Australia’s Consulting division and serves as the firm’s National Lead Partner for Defence Industries.

      Based in Canberra, Adam brings more than 35 years of senior leadership and operational experience across Defence and national security, spanning complex capability, logistics, and enterprise transformation environments.

      Adam takes great pride in delivering high‑impact outcomes for clients and is recognised as a calm, principled and influential leader, particularly in highly regulated and mission‑critical contexts. He has a proven track record in shaping organisations, leading large and diverse workforces, and steering complex systems through periods of sustained change.

      Adam has extensive breadth and depth of experience in Defence capability development and sustainment, operational logistics, and executive governance. His subject matter expertise includes Defence industry strategy, portfolio and program oversight, large‑scale organisational reform, logistics and sustainment transformation, stakeholder engagement, and senior executive leadership.

      Adam joined KPMG in February 2019 following a distinguished career in the Royal Australian Navy, retiring at the rank of Rear Admiral. His final appointment was Head of Maritime Systems in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), where he was responsible for the in‑service sustainment of the Royal Australian Navy’s surface fleet.

      Earlier in his career, Adam served in senior roles across Navy, Joint Logistics Command and CASG, including an exchange posting with the United States Navy.

      Adam was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) for leadership following the 2005 Sea King helicopter crash and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2015 for his service to the Australian Defence Force.

      In addition to his client responsibilities, Adam has held significant governance roles, including long‑standing service on the Navy Health Board, and continues to contribute to Defence and industry leadership forums.
