Candice is the Head of Forensic in South Africa and is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Having served her articles, she practiced as an associate in the litigation department at Shepstone and Wylie Attorneys.
Candice joined KPMG Forensic in 2007 and has over 20 years of experience leading and conducting complex forensic investigations into fraud and misconduct, corruption, and bribery. Candice has led and managed both proactive and reactive forensic engagements with both public and private sector clients.
Candice has extensive knowledge of the legal prescripts and governance frameworks pertaining to fraud and corruption in both the public and private sectors. She has provided expert witness support during various disciplinary proceedings and in criminal cases in the Regional Courts.
Candice works closely with law enforcement agencies in providing support for criminal cases at the Specialised Commercial Crimes unit. This has included participating in project steering committees comprising members of the South African Police (SAPS), National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), and Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU).
