Sonwabo Mateyisi

Sonwabo is a Partner in KPMG’s Financial Risk Management department, specialising in risk, governance, and compliance. Sonwabo brings a wealth of development finance industry experience and risk consulting skills having previously worked in other consultancies as Lead Director for Development Banks, National Treasury’s ALM unit as Project Director, the Development Bank of Southern Africa as Head of Risk Management, the Industrial Development Corporation as an Economist and Senior Risk Manager, the World Bank in Washington as an Economics Intern and Armscor as a Senior Strategic Planner. He has extensive experience in Economics, Finance, Risk Management (ERM & Credit), Governance, Feasibility Studies, Project Finance, Diagnostic Reviews, and Project Management. Sonwabo has vast experience as an engagement director having led various large and impactful assignments.
