Joelene is the CEO of KPMG Southern Africa, with over 26 years at the firm and 14 years as a partner, her career has been rooted in External Audit within the Financial Services practice, where she has advised leading financial institutions across South Africa and beyond.
Joelene previously served as Head of Financial Services for South Africa, was a member of the KPMG South Africa Executive Committee, and currently sits on the National Policy Board, Africa Exco and Africa Governance Council.
Her professional expertise spans audit and assurance for financial institutions, quality review partner roles, and complex areas including retail banking, corporate treasuries, securities trading, asset‑backed securitisation structures, and credit risk.
She brings international perspective through experience at KPMG in Luxembourg and London, specialising in Financial Services as well as Technical Accounting and Reporting.
