About Corporate Tax:

Our Corporate Tax team provides tax advisory and tax compliance supports to clients including multinational organizations, foreign invested companies, Vietnamese large corporations in different industries, with an aim to provide optimum tax solutions and help to enhance the tax compliance position throughout the business operation and investment in Vietnam, covering Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Foreign Contractor Tax and other corporate taxes.

Job description:

We are seeking a motivated, responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our Corporate Tax team as an Assistant. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and be eager to learn about corporate taxes and provide corporate tax services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the engagement team, based on instructions and guidance, to provide excellent and high-quality corporate tax services to our clients, including but not limited to:
    • Prepare proposal/engagement letters to provide corporate tax services to clients
    • Research regulations and precedent cases and apply understanding of legislation to client case
    • Assist in preparing tax calculation, tax returns, tax advice, etc. with respect to corporate taxes
    • Build up and maintain client relationships
    • Provide administrative support for the engagement team
    • Assist in risk management’s activities to comply with the firm policy
    • Other ad-hoc duties as required
  • Coordinate with team members to successfully deliver value in tax services to our clients. 
  • Stay up to date on applicable tax regulations and best practices in corporate taxes and attend required trainings applicable to corporate tax team.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects, e.g., accounting, finance, economics, law.
  • Good command of spoken and written English. 
  • Competency with the following packages: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • Ability to apply an understanding of financial statements and other relevant non-tax financial and business information to the tax advisory and compliance work. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and commitment to delivering an excellent product.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work and perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability.
