Ed runs KPMG’s Transport Infrastructure team. He is also KPMG’s UK Head of Transport. Ed joined KPMG in 1995. He has specialised in Transport for the last 15 years and has led a number of high profile engagements for both public and private sector clients, principally in the rail sector. Ed was central in establishing KPMG as the leading advisor to private sector bidders operating in the rail franchise / concession market and has worked with almost all of the largest global market players.
Ed’s major public sector mandates include advising on the Strategic Cases for High Speed Two and Crossrail 2 and supporting the Shaw Review examining the long term structure of Network Rail. In addition, Ed worked alongside Sir John Armitt CBE for a year developing the blueprint for a National Infrastructure Commission (NIC). The NIC proposals set out in the Armitt Review have since been adopted by the current Government. Ed’s principal clients include Transport for London, Network Rail, Department for Transport, HS2 Limited, Transport for Greater Manchester, Abellio Transport Holdings, Stagecoach plc, Japan Railways East and Virgin Rail Group.
