KPMG in the UK

Chris is a barrister in the KPMG Law Disputes team. He specialises in all aspects of tax and public law. His work includes both non-contentious advisory work and contentious disputes. He has appeared as Junior Counsel and/or acted as a litigator at virtually all levels of the UK Courts & Tribunals, including the Tax Tribunals, the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Chris has particular expertise in public law, whether in the context of judicial review claims against HMRC and other public bodies; public law advisory work (e.g. Subsidy Control); or tax litigation involving public law arguments. His tax work also spans all heads of tax, including Income Tax, VAT and Customs duty. His clients include global financial institutions, UK FinTechs, public authorities, UK and international corporations and private individuals.

He works closely with the wider KPMG Law practice, as well as KPMG’s expert tax professionals, to bring integrated, multi-disciplinary advice and representation to his clients.
