Louise Kirby

Partner, Enterprise Risk Services

KPMG in the UK

Louise is an experienced Partner in KPMG’s Enterprise Risk Services team and has been with KPMG for almost 20 years after joining the Forensic practice in the Manchester office in 2004. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and works with a broad range of clients to help them assess, manage and mitigate their exposure to risk. She was promoted to Partner in 2018.

She has extensive experience in the corporate sector and has worked with many global clients to provide risk management, internal audit and internal controls support.  This includes helping clients to undertake risk assessments across their business, looking at strategic, compliance, financial and operational aspects and building out an internal audit plan to address the key risk areas.

Beyond her client portfolio, Louise is a senior champion for Inclusion and Diversity.  This is both in terms of being a role model within KPMG and acting as Partner sponsor for initiatives supporting our focus on ensuring all of our people can thrive at KPMG and maximise their potential.

Louise has a strong focus on CSR and has been the Manchester Partner sponsor for our national charity Marie Curie over the last year.  She has also volunteered her time to be a non-executive director and Audit Committee Chair for the “National Academy”, this government arm’s length body was initially established to help teachers and pupils access learning resources free of charge during the pandemic.

Outside of work Louise lives near Manchester with her family and lots of pets!
