Gerard Campbell

Gerard has been at KPMG for 20 years and is the UK lead on Location Analysis and Grants Incentives support. In this role, Gerard has national responsibility for location analysis and grant advisory services, including European and national economic development and research & development grant funding programmes. He is also the UK lead across KPMG member firms for Global Location and Expansion Services projects.

Gerard has considerable experience in supporting clients to review location and site selection projects and accessing grant incentive opportunities. Through the Grants team he has supported a range of companies on public funding assignment, taking them through the funding cycle of identification of suitable funding programmes, applications guidance, assurance (including pre-approval due diligence) and grant compliance. In the last 12 months, he has supported over 60 clients with grant finding reviews.

Gerard has also worked directly with the European Commission on grant programme financial inspections and advised the Department of Business Energy and the Industrial Strategy and the Office for Students in England on programme development and roll out for national and EU grant funding programmes.
