Jeff C.K. Hou is a dedicated professional with a solid background in sociology, social work, and technology management. He stands out in the fields of ESG sustainable development, SDGs sustainable innovation, and social impact assessment and management. Jeff's approach involves leveraging business strategies to tackle environmental, social, cultural, and local challenges, offering expert guidance to diverse stakeholders. He is one of the few experts in Taiwan who spans both profit and non-profit organizations, integrating innovative expertise. Since joining KPMG in 2014 as a founding member of the social impact and sustainable innovation services, his commitment and expertise have aimed to create sustainable business value from societal benefits. He has been dedicated to implementing innovative strategies and providing professional advice to stakeholders such as governments, entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, social enterprises, cooperatives, and non-profit organizations.
Jeff has accompanied industries across various sectors, including chain, retail, technology, finance, energy, agriculture, education, and social welfare, in formulating social impact and sustainable innovation strategies. This includes planning impact statements & strategies, designing impact business models, and evaluating impact. He also assisted in the establishment of Taiwan's first public trust for impact investment in social enterprises (Social Enterprise Revolving Trust, SERT) and was appointed as the founder's assistant. Additionally, he holds volunteering positions in several NPOs, such as the President of the Taiwan Green Energy for Charity Association, Executive Director of the International City Wanderer Education Association, Director of the Taiwan Sustainable Urban and Rural Development Care Association, Director of the Sustainable Development Association for Social Design, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Financial Executives Institute in Taiwan, constantly promoting the development of Taiwan's social impact and sustainable innovation community.
