Derek Chen has been working with KPMG for more than 18 years. He is based in KPMG Taiwan and was seconded to New York for 18 months. During the secondment, he had an opportunity to participate in an IPO project that submits the S-1 filing with the SEC of the USA.
He specializes in areas of Financial Services, Technology, Media & Telecommunications , Healthcare and Life Science. In addition to financial statements and internal control audits as well as income tax certification, he has plentiful experience in implementing financial and accounting systems, anti–money laundering initiatives, personal data protection frameworks, and electronic payment assurance projects.
He has helped his clients and teams by providing his professionalism and using his technical skills and experience to ensure these services comply with corresponding standards or requirements as appropriate. He also shares his knowledge internally by acting as an in-house instructor in KPMG Taiwan.
He has passed the ROC CPA and USA CPA (NY) exam.
