KPMG International is a LEAD participant in the UNGC. LEAD enables our global network of member firms to deepen our commitment to the UNGC by implementing the Blueprint for Corporate Sustainability Leadership. The Blueprint helps businesses demonstrate leadership in three areas
- Integrating the Ten Principles into strategies and operations;
- Taking action in support of broader UN goals and issues; and
- Engaging with the UN Global Compact.
UN Global Compact Communication of Progress
KPMG International has been a signatory of the UNGC since 2002. The Compact is a voluntary framework for businesses to align their operations and strategies with Ten Principles covering human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. As a signatory, we are committed to submitting a Communication on Progress (COP) to the UNGC on an annual basis.
The report highlights select activities of KPMG International in relation to the Ten Principles for the reporting period 1 October 2013 to 30 September 2014. Our citizenship section provides a thorough disclosure of our citizenship activities for this reporting period.
Regarding citizenship related data, several member firms have instituted internal assurance procedures for selected indicators. In addition, a few member firms have initiated external assurance and/or verification services for their citizenship data.
In the last fiscal year (to 30 September 2014), the combined revenues of our member firms totalled US$24.82 billion.
