      An Utilities company in Saudi Arabia has contracted KPMG to develop a Workforce Sizing Model for the Operational Functions, such as HR, Finance, P&SCM and IT under SSA aiming to provide an estimation of the ideal number of headcounts needed to perform each service.


      KPMG's Solution

      • Dynamic Workforce Sizing Model that calculates the needed Headcount for four different scenarios considering different demand and efficiency changes.
      • Projection of the Sizing Model Results for each scenario per General Department, Department and per Job Category for the following five years.
      • Power BI Dashboard of the Sizing Model Results BI with overview of number of headcounts for all scenarios.


      Activities

      • Phase 1: Develop Workforce Sizing Model for Operational Functions (HR, Finance, P&SCM and IT)
        • Define the model criteria, assumptions and key inputs.
        • Delivered a model design report to align expectations.
        • Gather baseline information and inputs to run the model.
        • Define targets and demand scenarios.
        • Perform Data quality review on the inputs (Processing Time) with each responsible for the sub-services.
        • Run and test the model (excel).
      • Phase 2: Develop Power BI Dashboard to show model outputs
        • Develop the mock up for the Power BI Dashboard.
        • Develop Power BI to show model outputs.

         

      • Phase 3: Perform Workshops
        • Prepare instructions and training material.
        • Perform a workshop to the model owners.
