      Primary Goal

      Reviewing the internal digital strategy, with an emphasis on improving innovation and nurturing a solid digital culture.

      Given the competitive scenario in the digital sector, a Saudi Arabian Ministry hired KPMG in order to strengthen its digital maturity and emerge as one of the main drivers of innovation and digital transformation in the Kingdom.

      • Updated Digital Strategy for a multi-year period to enhance the Ministry’s Digital Maturity and Innovation capabilities.
      • Change Management Plan to support on the successful implementation of the strategy.
      • An exceptionally tailored Strategy Report was delivered, linking the identified gaps of the Current State Assessment with the dozens of proposed projects and initiatives.
      • A detailed plan on the concept for an Innovation-related internal event to spread awareness on Ministry's digital efforts internally.
      Dozens of tailored innovative Projects and Initiatives created for the strategy. Dozens of on-site stakeholder interviews conducted allowed for a deeper customization on the solution provided, to the client’s needs.

      Activities

      • Conducted an "AS IS" assessment of Ministry's environment through document analysis, numerous stakeholder interviews, and a survey to determine the current state of the Ministry.
      • Performed a Digital Maturity Assessment based on KPMG's internal frameworks, tailored to the Ministry's specific needs for innovation.
      • Identified both local and international best practices for eGovernments, and also corporate Digital Strategies of reference.
      • Conducted a Gap assessment on the Ministry's Digital Maturity, based on stakeholder interviews, identified best practices, strategic analysis, and a survey.
      • Developed an Updated Digital Strategy with a special focus on emerging technologies and innovation.
      • Planned and developed the concept for an Innovation-related internal event to spread awareness on the Ministry's digital efforts internally by conducting a series of engaging activities related to the digital realm.
      • Assisted in the Change Management plan by staying side-by-side with the Ministry during the implementation of proposed Digital Culture activities.
