On 29 June 2023, the final version of the FA(2) logical structure was made available in the Central Repository for Electronic Documents (CRWDE) of the ePUAP platform (template no. 2023/06/29/12648). A draft version of the structure was published on 23 May 2023. The FA(2) version is expected to become binding on 01 September 2023.
Publication of the FA(2) logical structure will be followed by:
- making available test environment adapted to the logical structure, along with relevant documentation, in July 2023, as announced by the Ministry;
- making available production environment on 01 September 2023. Consequently, on 01 September 2023, the FA(2) logical structure will replace the currently used FA(1) logical structure.
This means that from July to August 2023 two versions of the logical structure - FA(1) and FA(2) - will be available simultaneously in test environment. According to the Ministry, it will provide for taxpayers’ smooth transition towards mandatory e-invoicing starting on 01 July 2024.
The goal of introducing a uniform e-invoice standard is to simplify the transaction documentation process as well as to accelerate and automate document issuing, processing, and archiving.
E-invoicing will also make it possible for taxpayers to access up-to-date information from invoices for management purposes, including analytics, but also for the purposes of other business areas.
The updated version of the structure is also available on the podatki.gov.pl website (https://www.podatki.gov.pl/) in the “Struktury Dokumentów XML” tab of the KSeF webpage (https://www.podatki.gov.pl/e-deklaracje/dokumentacja-it/struktury-dokumentow-xml/#ksef).
