      Bureau of Internal Revenue

      The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) issued a Tax Advisory dated 17 August 2026 providing advisory on the latest version of the eBIRForms Offline Package.

      The following are the salient points of the Tax Advisory:

      • The BIR advises all taxpayers using the eBIRForms Offline Package to update to Version 7.9.6.1 to ensure proper functionality and access the most recent enhancements while Version 7.9.6.0 remains operational.
      • Older versions of the eBIRForms Offline Package will be discontinued and will no longer be supported.
      • The User Manual is included in the advisory containing detailed instructions on:
      • Downloading and installing the latest version
      • Backing up tax returns and related data saved in the previous versions
      • Restoring backed-up data, where applicable, after installation of the new version
