Microsoft Philippines Chief Executive Officer

Peter Maquera is the CEO of Microsoft Philippines and is responsible for accelerating the AI, cloud, cybersecurity and digital transformation journeys of every organization in the country, helping the nation build resilience through digital skills and empowering digital-first companies and start-ups with the tools to scale their innovation. 

Before Microsoft, Peter held several senior executive positions at Ayala Group. He was the Senior Vice President of Globe Telecom, Inc., heading the enterprise business that provides ICT services to the leading corporations in the Philippines. Peter was also the President of Globe Telecom International Business Holdings, where he was responsible for Globe’s international points of presence, submarine cable investments, data centers and digital growth businesses. Before that, he was Deputy CEO of LiveIt Investments, Ltd., Ayala Corporation’s holding company, for its investments in Business Process Outsourcing.

Peter has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Noel Bonoan

KPMG in the Philippines Vice Chairman and COO and Head of Advisory 

Noel Bonoan is the Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG in the Philippines. He is also the Head of the firm’s Advisory Division.  Noel has overseen the impressive growth of the Philippine firm’s Advisory group, particularly in the digital space. 

Prior to joining KPMG, Noel was an Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Finance and exercised oversight over the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Customs authority. He was responsible for leading the teams that wrote and pushed for the passage of key revenue legislation.

Dr. David R. Hardoon is the Chief Executive Officer of Aboitiz Data Innovation. Concurrently, David serves as Senior Advisor for Data and AI at Union Bank of the Philippines and Advisory Board member at Connected Women.

Before his current roles, David was the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) first appointed Chief Data Officer and Head of Data Analytics Group, reporting to the agency’s Deputy Managing Director for Financial Supervision and subsequently Special Advisor for Artificial Intelligence, reporting to the Deputy Managing Director for Markets and Development. In these roles, he led the development of the AI strategy both for MAS and Singapore’s financial sector, as well as driving efforts to promote open cross-border data flows.

David holds a PhD in Computer Science in the field of Machine Learning from the University of Southampton and graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with First Class Honors B.Sc. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence

Kristine is the Head of ESG for KPMG in the Philippines. As the Managing Director of the Technology and Digital Innovation Office at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, he oversees technology initiatives and digital innovation within the central bank.

Dennis Omila holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Operations Officer of Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank). He was a former Board Director of UBX Philippines (UnionBank’s fintech spin-off) and is an Executive Advisor of the Digital Integration Committee and the Technical Governance and Oversight Committee for all UnionBank’s subsidiaries.

Before joining the bank, he was the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Engineering and Service Operations at Globe Telecom, Inc. Before that, he was an entrepreneur and is the President and COO of NetX Technology Solutions, Inc.

In the past, he previously held the Antenor S. Virata, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and J. Antonio Aguenza Professorial Chairs. He is also a Principal Investigator for the UP Korea Research Center (UP KRC) and a Project Development Associate for the UP Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (UP TTBDO).  
 
His local and international teaching, research, industry, and public speaking experience, spanning 18 years and counting, covers the business fields of operations management, innovation management, information technology management, and business research methods.

He is an accredited KPMG valuation professional with extensive due diligence, model review, and impaired loan advisory experience. He is active in M&As and project advisory transactions in the Philippine market. He regularly supports the PSE and Philippine companies with their capital markets requirements. Mike has also provided support to the government on selected privatization and infrastructure mandates.

With his exemplary contribution to inclusive and social innovation space, Mark was appointed by President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. as the youngest Executive Cabinet Member in the National Innovation Council, the Philippine government's highest policy-making body for national innovation development.

Mark was the first Filipino nominated for the Earthshot Prize, the most prestigious environmental prize on the planet.

Dragonpay, the company he founded in 2010, is the local leader in alternative payments supporting various channels ranging including cash payments, online banking, ATM, mobile payments and international remittance.

Dick graduated with a BS Computer Science degree, Honorable Mention, BPI Science Award, and the Computer Science Department Award from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1991. He pursued his MBA from the Babson Graduate School of Business in MA, USA with a focus on entrepreneurship in 1995.

Tek Olaño is the Chief Finance Officer of GCash, the #1 Finance Super App in the Philippines. Assuming the role in March of 2020, Tek oversees the finance organization of GCash and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, such as G-Xchange, Inc., responsible for the mobile wallet operations of GCash, and Fuse Lending, Inc., the lending arm of the group. Tek has over 15 years of extensive experience in investment banking, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and treasury management. Prior to his current role, Tek held various positions in the finance group of Globe, including as heads of Globe’s treasury operations from 2016 to 2020 and financial planning and investor relations from 2011 to 2016. He previously worked with several local boutique investment houses in the Philippines as well.
