He rejoined KPMG in thePhilippines in 2013 and has since provided comprehensive tax services acrossvarious industries, including media, telecommunications, banking, consumer markets,automotive, power, technology, and business process outsourcing.
Eugene specializes in tax advisory, assisting clients with complex commercialtransactions such as business restructuring, tax-free mergers, and property-for-shares exchanges. Additionally, he has extensive experience in tax advocacy,securing approvals for tax-free mergers, handling confirmatory rulings, and managingtax treaty relief applications.
He has also conducted numerous tax audits and assessments, gaining an in-depthunderstanding of BIR procedures. He is proficient in transfer pricing studies and hasrepresented clients in dealings with government agencies such as the SEC, BIR,LGUs, BOI, and PEZA. His expertise includes preparing and filing applications withthe Bureau of Local Government Finance under the Department of Finance,showcasing a strong grasp of complex tax environments.
