Darwin P. Virocel has over 20 years of combined experience in financial statement audit and accounting technical advisory with KPMG andanother Big Four accounting firm. He has over 2 years of international experience in accounting consulting services in another Big Fourfirm, where he served as an accredited IFRS expert/practitioner. He was also involved in the audits of major local and international groups.
Additionally, he possesses extensive experience in financial statement audit, accounting technical advisory, risk management, design ofinternal control systems, and due diligence reviews of various companies across diverse industries such as consumer and retail, mining,energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, and business process outsourcing. He also has broad knowledge andexperience in both IFRS and US GAAP audit and review engagements, as well as in the resolution of complex financial reporting and auditissues.
Furthermore, he is an experienced trainer on IFRS and has been invited as a resource speaker in various seminars on accounting andauditing standards organized by professional organizations including the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), theAssociation of CPAs in Public Practice, and various universities. He has undergone extensive IFRS trainings both locally and abroad.
