Gilbert is currently a Technology Consulting partner at R.G. Manabat & Co. He led the design and development of the Information Systems Strategy Plan (ISSP) for a government institution, managing a team of eight and presenting findings to key stakeholders and executives.
As Lead Manager, he assessed the financial applications of a leading insurance company for accounting conversion readiness, drafting gap analyses and outlining a future state for new accounting standards.
He also led a finance transformation for a top insurance company in the Philippines, directing a team of 25 to identify process improvements and system changes, reporting directly to the CFO and CEO.
Additionally, he managed the business development and delivery of data maturity assessments using the COBIT 5 model, evaluating leadership, employee performance, information risk, operations, business continuity, and legal/compliance.
